After this weekend's low blow marred fight between Abner Mares and Joseph Agbeko ended in controversy Saturday night, the IBF has ordered a rematch between the two Bantamweights, according to ESPN's Dan Rafael on Twitter.Although in his post-fight interview with Showtime's Jim Gray, Mora felt he had called the fight fair and thought the criticism aimed towards him was unfair. Mora has since came out and admitted he made errors in calling the fight.Mora failed to deduct any points away from Mares, even after he landed low blow after low blow and even counted a knock down caused by a low blow as a legitimate knock down, costing Agbeko a 10-8 round. With the three score cards being 113-113, 115-111 and 114-112, the illegal blow that caused a knock down and the possible points that should have been deducted would have tipped the fight in Agbeko's favor, giving him the win in the IBF bantamweight championship showdown.Justice has been served, as the fight was a highly entertaining fight despite the lack of quality refereeing. A rematch is sure to have more drawing power after the controversy has had the fight in the sporting world's mind over the last few days. When it is all said and done, I believe this series will ultimately have a rubber match. The two fighters are very evenly matched and settling the score with just one rematch won't do the two fighters, or the sport of boxing, any justice.
